It surprises me how many people don’t like bats.  I have always loved learning about these fascinating little creatures.  My first emotion was sadness when I saw this at Ripley’s Believe it or Not in Orlando.   While I have no proof, I’d like to believe this bat had a long prosperous life and died of natural causes before it became a canvas.   Mexican artist Enrique Ramos painted this bat with miniature paintings of Leonardo Da Vinci and the Mona Lisa.  Ramos paints everything from butterflies to a strand of hair.

I’d like to keep increasing the ‘Oddities’ category of Fear Fragments with more posts like this.  What do you think?

I had the pleasure of meeting The Enigma Live! at the FX convention in Orlando in 2008.  I think he is irresistible!  He is a completely tattooed beautiful work of art.  A musician, performer, tattoo artist, and all around nice guy (yes, those are horn implants).  He gave a very original and stylish freak show performance at the convention.   He didn’t need to drive a power drill in his nose or blindfold himself and have that chainsaw going to interest me.  That was cool and all, but he wouldn’t need to say a word or start up one power tool and I could just lovingly admire him all day.
