Thankskilling was just released on DVD last week and at the time of this post the film can be streamed on Netflix. I had been looking forward to this film for some time, it was supposed to be released last year. I mean the idea of an evil turkey wreaking havoc on Thanksgiving was irresistible. I wanted to love it and hoped it was worthy of a new Thanksgiving tradition. I’m happy to say I wasn’t disappointed. If you find the poster appealing then odds are you’ll really enjoy Thankskilling. On the way home for Thanksgiving break a carload of college students have car trouble and end up camping in the woods. While drinking a lot of beer the story of an evil turkey is told around the campfire. Basically this indian by the name of Feathercloud was dishonored by a pilgrim, so he vows a curse on all white men. Feathercloud necromanced an evil turkey that would roam the earth every 505 years and wreak havoc on all white people. Turkeyologists know this as Thankskilling , and the evil turkey is due to return within the next 45 minutes. The teens are unaware that the evil turkey was awoken earlier that day to a dog pissing on his head. This turkey is really very versatile. He kills with an axe, shotgun, knife, electric carving knife and even pecks one guy to death after pulling out his tongue. This is a really fun film with with plenty of decent gore.

Ha ha hahahaha!!! I never thought I’d see the day a Killer turkey comes to TV. This might be one I just have to watch!
